Sungkaan

My step-by-step guide to making a sungkaan:

First, I copy Lui's drawing one at a time.

Then I color the hollowed areas with brown colored pencil

and then I use a brush dipped in water to paint over it!

I color the whole sungkaan in different colors

using the same watercolor pencils: 

I paint over these colors

and when it dried a bit

I apply oil pastels to make colorful shells:

And this is my finished work!
