Hornbill


I copied this from a coloring book on birds that I bought recently. Lui kept telling me that I should try to draw and write about the things I see around me. And since I love drawing birds I can make better drawings of them by copying images from the book I bought.


Now this is my close up drawing of the Hornbill above. Macro drawings help improve my coloring and drawing techniques:

Tree!


I do lines and spiral drawings when I feel groggy from the medications I am taking. It helps me to focus and to concentrate on what I am doing. It keeps me alert and calm too. Lui taught me to use these lines and spirals to create compositions like the tree above.

Freedom

Today we celebrate Independence day and these are the objects and symbols that mean freedom to me:


The yellow ribbons on a tree symbolized Ninoy Aquino and his heroic death to regain our freedom.


And what I think means freedom for the birds: human activities like drinking soda which is something I am not allowed to do for health reasons and maybe watch Tweety the bird on TV.
