Banig Patterns again!

 Another primary colors exercise.
I never remember what these colors are so Lui kept reminding me.
Red, yellow, blue are important colors because all the other colors came from these primary colors.

Another secondary colors exercise. But instead of orange I suggested yellow!

And using these patterns I now make a composition using my own design:
A beautiful tablecloth with patterns using primary colors.
And I use the same design on the two pillows!

Banig III

And now I am doing my banig using black!
When I am done doing the square pattern
I decided to add more colors to brighten it up!

More Banig Patterns!

After doing banig (local mat) patterns in primary and secondary colors I am now doing it in any colors and patterns that I like!

I tried it in pastels colors too.
These are colors with white on them:

And another with wavy lines and colors on colors!

Lui said doing patterns are good mental exercises.
They keep our minds sharp plus you get lots of fun too!

Banig II

After doing my banig (local mat) in primary colors I am now doing it in secondary colors of orange, green and violet. And because my oil pastels do not have violet I have to make one using blue and red combined!
And my banig in secondary colors!

Banig on Primary Colors

I always have regular exercises using the primary colors because Lui said I keep forgetting!
So this week I am doing banig (local mat) patterns using the primary colors.
Using the colors red, yellow, blue I have to do patterns using lines that go left to right and up and down.
Then I make dots and color some boxes using the same primary colors.
And here is my design.
Lui said she would love a mat with this design.
I think I would love one too but I don't think I want to sleep on mats!

Cattleya

This orchid was inspired from my teacher Lui's flower.
She showed me photographs of this flower in her garden as it grows from from bud to fading and I made my own interpretation of it in orange!

A Rose For All the Ladies!

Lui helped me draw and color this rose with all the names of women I know and love!
And they include my sister, my sisters in law, my nieces, my yaya and my teacher. ;-)

KItchen Lamp

Lui like this lamp in our kitchen.
She thinks it is a perfect object for our workshop today
because it has wonderful designs for me to capture.

I sketch the details one at a time . . .

Then I go over the drawing by shading the lines.

And my drawing made the lamp memorable!

My next exercise is to design my own lamp:

It may appear strange but Lui told me that she saw a lamp that resembles mine in a children's room. Lui said the lamp she saw was designed like a house with windows that also functions like a clock!
