Portraits on Pastel!

This is not my portrait.
I just made it up.
I do not want to do portraits because it looks hard but my teacher Lui told me that it is easy and she will help me do it. When I finished, I was very happy with the result and showed it to my Mom!

And this is the work of my caregiver Rey.

Rey would sit near me and sometimes he would join us.
Rey is good in drawing.
Rey used pastel on paper while I used acrylic paint on canvas.

Capturing our Vase!

This is one of the beautiful vases in our house.
It is displayed on top of our old piano.
I wanted to draw and use lots of colors instead of just plain white.

Our Antique Wall Clock!

Chicken Jar

One of My Favorite Toys . . .

This toy Giraffe was given by my older brother Ricky. Ricky asked me to write down what I wanted for Christmas so I requested for it.

I painted it so I will not forget how special it is!

My Christmas Tree!

This is my drawing of the Christmas tree in our house.

I started my art lessons with teacher Lui in November 2008. Lui starts the session with drawings.

In the Philippines, people start setting up their Christmas decor as early as October! In our house we have our Christmas tree installed in November so I made my drawing of it.

Lui said my lines are perfect!

Next she asked me to color my tree using pentel pen.

Lui wanted to see how I use colors. I love bright colors!

Lui said the decorations in my tree really looked like they are shining bright!

In the next session, Lui started me on painting using acrylic paints on a canvas sheet.

And this is my Christmas tree painting!
My mother cried when she saw this.
My mother did not realize I can paint!

This painting was later printed by Lui for our holiday card!

and on my birthday last November 26, Lui had it printed on a t-shirt as her birthday gift to me!
