Birds!

I am trying to draw the birds I saw during my morning walks. I remembered them as yellow so instead of coloring the bird, I used a yellow paper (above) and colored the background instead. Below, I used a green paper and colored the bird instead:

And below are my abstract birds which are Lui's favorite works of mine:

My Monochrome

After the exercises on using warm and cool colors in my previous posts, this time I am using non colors like black and white.

Cool Colors!

After the warm colors in my last post it is time to do cool colors like blue and green and see how these colors affect my moods. Cool colors make me relax which are the best colors to use when I get too excited and to avoid having a seizure.

Random Objects using Warm Colors

This is an exercise using only red and yellow colors and blending it with my drawing. This exercise taught me how colors can affect my moods. These warm colors perk me up and make me happy.

Happy 2011!

I got sick during the holidays. I had seizures and my medications made me groggy. So when I felt better I started my art workshop again and made four works using my new oil pastels.

The Christmas parol is a good subject. It helps me focus on lines and colors. I also made a bird drawing (no picture) because it helps me visualize the many birds I hear around the house. I love watching birds when I do my regular walking. When I get well enough to resume my daily walks, I will look for birds with nice colors.

My Journey to Healing

My Dreamy World

The two plates above is a visual exercise. It allows me to work on lines, textures and colors and less on objects. It helps me get acquainted with oil pastels again.
