Musical Painting

 I am doing two songs for this large painting.

 I am doing 'Close to You' and 'Raindrops keep falling on my Head'.

I enjoy this exercise because I get to sing with Lui

and we get to interpret the song together!

 If you compare this painting from my drawing last week

you will see that I added raindrops together with falling stars!

And after finishing the painting

I made another study on my sketchpad

which is to illustrate what I imagine

heaven to be like!

Close To You

. . . why do birds suddenly appear . . .every time you are near?

Just like me they long to be close to you . . .

Bahay Kubo

Inspired by the song Bahay Kubo!

Bahay kubo (my nipa hut) 

kahit munti (no matter how small)

ang halaman doon ay sari sari (has a garden of various plants)

singkamas (turnip), at talong (and eggplant),

sitaw (stringbean), bataw (white bean), patani (lintel),

kundol (wintermelon), patola (loofah), 

upo\t (bottle gourd) kalabasa (squash)

at saka meron pa (and in addition -)

labanos (radish), mustasa (and mustard patch)

sibuyas (onions), kamatis (tomato)

bawang at luya (garlic and ginger)

at sa paligid-ligid (and all around)

ay puno ng linga (is folled with sesame bushes) . . .

Gone With The Wind

This is my drawing of a grand setting for the movie 'Gone With The Wind'

which helps me create and design houses from memory and imagination.

Over The Rainbow!
