Still Life

On a stormy day Lui and I made a drawing

of a beautiful scene in our house:

Bancas in a Waterlily Pond!

I am painting a scene from the newspaper.

I paint the skies first and then the water below.

By the time I finished the lily pond the sky background is dry

and I paint my clouds.

Then I paint dots to make the waterlilies

and the bancas . . .

And to finish my painting

Lui taught me how to paint a figure

just by doing a silhouette . . .
