I Am A Hero too!

We recently celebrated National Heroes day in my country

last Monday, August 26.

Lui said heroes are not just the celebrities we read about.

Each of us can be a hero in our own way.

And so I made a drawing of a hero . . .

 

And that is Me!

I do not throw trash on the streets when I walk.

I do not hurt animals I see on the streets.

I take my medications and do my exercises.

I try to help our househelp Cora

put order in my room . . .

and I pray for everybody every day.

Yes, I am a hero too.

And I can draw a realistic portrayal of a hero too.

Now if I can curb my moodiness

and my unnecessary obsession of  bags

I will be a perfect hero.

Heroes have imperfections too.

And I hope I can lessen my imperfections

just like everybody else.

Toy

Lui said I should keep drawing even when she is not around so I made this toy drawing with the help of our housekeeper, Cora.

Lui Is Back!

Finally, my art teacher is back!

And today she asked me what I wanted to do.

And I said I wanted to draw my eyeglasses!

And that's what we did . . .

Lui had a major operation and she looks OK to me.

Today is her first day back at work

and I am her first priority.

And this is my eyeglass drawing

complete with the case:

And I asked Lui 

for updates on blogland

and she told me people were showing their interpretation of songs.

According to Lui, a group of bloggers are doing

Joni Mitchell's "Both Sides Now" song

and I wanted to do my own version!

". . . I looked at clouds from both sides now

from up and down and still somehow

its cloud's illusion I recall

I really don't know clouds at all"

Oh, but I do. I know clouds very well!
